Gboyega has since his call to the Nigerian Bar over 20 years ago been involved in a lot of litigation which has taken him through all the Courts of competent jurisdiction from the High Courts to the Supreme Court.
Advancing to become an Associate and later the Head of Chambers of the prestigious Afe Babalola SAN & Co, law office in Lagos during his 12 years stay at the chambers, he was and has continued to be and has been involved in various dispute resolutions in matters including oil & gas, manufacturing, election petitions etc. as well as a number of commercial transactions.
His Areas of Specialization include Company and Commercial Law, Land law, Intellectual Property, Arbitration/Dispute Resolution, Shipping Admiralty, Oil & Gas, Construction Law, Debt Recovery and Insolvency, Fundamental Human Rights Law and has also been involved in high profile commercial transactions including but not limited to the following:
- Asset stripping of UTC Plc.,
- 2B financial arrangements involving Sanderton Ventures and Union Bank,
- The coordination of re-financing of African Independent Television by a consortium of 17 Banks across the nation
- Scheme of financial arrangements for Ebun Industries Limited among others.
Prior to the emergence of L & T, Gboyega was a partner in the firm of Oyewole and Oluborode and the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Ekiti State from 2006-2010. He is an active member of:
